The Sports Club/LA - New York on the Upper East Side seeks a Gym Equipment Attendant.
Job Description:
Responsible for maintaining the preventive maintenance and cleanliness of the cardiovascular and fitness equipment. The Equipment is to be maintained to an “Original Standards” level. This position requires a moderate degree of mechanical ability.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
* Follow procedures for maintaining the cleanliness of the gym equipment. This includes all free weights, selectorized, and cardiovascular equipment.
* Follow procedures to perform all preventive maintenance on the gym equipment and document all in the equipment logs.
* Maintain parts and supply inventory for your needs.
* Incorporate safety awareness into daily activities.
* Maintain work areas in clean and orderly manner at all times.
* Complete and maintain all Building Operation paperwork in a timely, organized and legible manner.
* Follow all company and department policies and procedures.
Education & Experience:
* High school graduate or equivalent.
* Mechanical skills preferred.
* Experience in the health club industry as a gym cleaner / preventive maintenance worker or equivalent experience desired.
